What is Our World?
OUR WORLD
Throughout this project i was given the task of forming the idea what 'Our World' was as a whole. this led to a developing idea of 'Our World' during each shoot as I went through the motions of taking each photo; aiming to convey a different idea and show different views of our world.
A MACRO VIEW

While I was doing this shoot I aimed to show a world that is generally left unseen and unspoken about. I also wanted to show an interpretation of the world up close whilst also conveying the idea of a challenge overcome and how nature forms the roots of ‘Our World’ as we know it.

PEMBROKESHIRE COAST
Photo shoot 2
during this shoot I aimed to take a range of photos showcasing the Pembrokeshire coast surrounding St. Davids. I wished to convey the idea of creation through serenity and allow the viewer to understand the coastline in a way that they have not done so before. I also wanted to use a sunset to convey an idea of a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by natural beauty.

URBAN NIGHT SKY

Throughout this photo shoot I wanted to show the urban night sky and the way that light pollution has affected how we see the night sky. Because we as humans have polluted the sub-urban areas and urban areas with light it means that we are not able to see the stars or the moon at their full beauty. I wanted to document what this has meant to us as a modernized species.

LIGHT PAINTING

during this shoot I aimed to take a series of images that varied in complexity in different locations with different patterns and drawings. I also wanted use a nearby park in order to create the the idea of it being used by people crafted through light. The reason behind this is that I believed it would convey the idea that through the darkest times there is always light shining through.

ELSEWHERE IN THE WORLD

For this shoot i wanted to take a series of images showing what the city of Barcelona looks like as well as the life of those living there, the streets that they walk down and all the sights that we marvel at. I aimed to convey the idea that everybody's world is different and that there are different practices and customs everywhere. The reason behind my choosing of this shoot is as the project closes I believe it important to take into account another countries view on ‘Our World’ and how their society and lifestyle differs to ours.

FINAL PIECE
Oppressive city - Barcelona at Night
As I came to the end of my project I knew i had to choose a final piece to reflect and convey all that i had learnt and developed and because of that I knew that this had to be my final piece because it encapsulated the project as a whole. It showed the idea of distortion that I aimed to convey during photo shoot 1. It also shows a different aspect of our world like photo shoot 2 did. It also followed part of the photo shoot 3 brief shows the nightlife and the night sky of a more urban area such as Barcelona. It holds similar properties to photo shoot 4 with it being a long exposure image. It also shows differences and how the city can feel oppressive when walking or viewing it due to the sheer size of Barcelona.
